On a hot summers night in Bethlehem,
Mother with child on a donkey and a man,
Followed a star 100 miles or so,
To deliver a holy child to a world of woe.......
A guiding bright star led them to a safe place,
Mother with child full of harmony and grace,
She bellowed and screamed from the top of her lungs,
Delivered in light a new baby comes.......
Holy night in a rocking crib,
Three wise men bring gifts to welcome him,
Witnesses surround my Savior,
Oh holy Son of God,
Who held the whole world, in his fragile little arms.......
Jesus knew nothing, a baby was he,
Born on a brilliant starry night, in secret sanctity,
Loved and wanted by the ones for peace,
They named him Christ our Jesus.......
On the night this child was born,
Evil was brewing as they murdered their own,
Fathers fighting soldiers to protect screaming mothers,
They murdered every baby boy, to halt the blessed ones cover......
A terrible time for a prophet to be born,
Mother looks into his large brown eyes - healthy and warm,
Not really knowing what to expect,
Rested to be with a child so blessed....
Life continued for Jesus and he grew knowing the true way,
His father takes him to Temple, to love, learn and pray,
Jesus goes for a walk for many nights and days,
Returns to the people with wisdom of new times,
Seemingly "out there" with ideas that some considered wild.......
A Shocking death my Savior bears,
His faith so innocent - he forgives those who don't care,
His dark brown eyes reflect a light revealing God,
Who had nothing to do with putting His Son on the cross.......
The message I get from writing this story,
Is that not even death could stop our Saviors glory,
And to this day he is a symbol of love,
As he holds my hand we walk peacefully under the sun.........
And only forgiveness do I give to myself,
For believing my Savior suffered and died on the cross,
I will do what I can to follow this man,
This I must do because I know that I can......
To the ends of the earth every moment rebirth,
The Resurrection proved that there is no death to rehearse,
He ministered the people, innocent and faithful to the Father,
Never suffering nor believing in this almighty curse.....
Hallelujah my brother the one that I love,
Let us walk together - Home to our loving God,
Not a moment goes by that I don't think of you,
You teach us God's Law which is Holy and True.......
Back to the beginning, the birth of this boy,
Light showers the barn where my Jesus was born,
So today it is his holy birth we share,
In his innocence lay love which is Everywhere..............
His message - "Through forgiveness, Learn how to share loving thoughts with Me",
An almighty symbol standing awakened and free,
As we reflect on his birth, his death and his life,
My promise to Jesus is to do what is right........
